In more than 70 years in the industry, he portrayed hundreds of roles in movies including the classic HIGH NOON, most known for his TV role as PETE NOLAN  on the CBS Series Rawhide and wrote hundreds of songs that topped the Billboard™ pop charts and HIT #1s such as The Purple People Eater™. A  man of many talents, Wooley played numerous roles, from a famous cowhands and rodeo rider, bad villian Ben Miller to School Principal Cletus Summers in the Award winning HOOSIERS™
